Don't blink or you'll miss something...at least that is how it seems to be with Clancy these days. He has changed so much in the last couple of weeks (ok, he still weighs 22 pounds with his clothes and shoes on). So, other than the lack of physical changes, Clancy is really different now. He is talking all the time. A lot of what he says is in the form of a cheer. He pumps his fists and chants "Choco Muck" (chocolate milk), "Baketball" (Basketball), and today was cheering for "Airbets" (Airplanes). He is also becoming quite a little dictator--sit here, stand up, etc. I just can't believe how much he has learned lately, including all the requirements for entrance into the "Terrible Twos".
Tonight he was saying something that I didn't quite understand, but was sort of similar to how he says "snack". I asked him if he was hungry, and if he wanted a snack. He, being the eater that he is, of couse said "Yes" and shook his head excitedly. I asked him what kind of snack he wants and his response...."food". I wonder if some of the snacks I've been providing are inedible, or somehow don't quite make it into the "food" category.
This movie is just a tiny glimpse into Clancy's new dance moves. One evening after dinner, we put on some music and had Clancy dance. This was what he did. I really think he was attempting a somersault, which I do not know how to teach him safely. This just solidified my plans to put him in some sort of tumbling/gymnastics class next year. The kid is small and pretty tough, so who knows..maybe you'll see him on the pommel horse one day!
